WASHDAY AT 1 WEEK POST

Hello fellow hair journeyer’s, hope our hair(s) are performing as we expect them to. I retouched my hair last week at 16weeks post, not so happy with the result  but it was my fault sha, I didn’t go to my normal salon I say make I change hand but my hair hear am, very nasty salonist.
Back to my washday o jare, I played with my hair this way,
DEEP CONDITIONED: I sectioned my hair into 3 sections, 2 in front and 1 behind then I  applied 3 different conditioning creams to the 3 sections;  the 3 conditioners I used are:

Shea moisture deep treatment on the right

Elasta qp Argan oil with ultra-hydration deep conditioner on the left.

 Vitale olive oil mayonnaise behind.
Then covered my hair with a plastic cap and went under my heat cap for 30mins, the result I got: my right side hair was the yummiest, all the shea moisture treatment conditioner all melted into my hair and made the hair very soft. The other 2 sides too got a fair and yummy deal too. I could only try this because my hair was still light no new growths yet to suck up all my conditioners.

CO-WASHED: I didn’t shampoo this time around, I did a co-wash instead with Pantene cleansing conditioner; I decided to use this because of the minty feeling it gives because I didn’t want to shampoo but want something that will cleanse my scalp at least.

CONDITIONER: I conditioned with Suave split end remedy conditioner.

LEAVE-INS: I applied profectiv hair restoration growth renewal system to my scalp then cantu argan oil leave in conditioning cream to the entire length of my hair.

OIL: I applied Jamaican Black Castor Oil to my scalp and massaged my edges special with JBCO and added some to my ends too.

Overall outcome of this washday was very satisfying, super soft hair, I wish my hair will be like this always even with lots of new growth.

To digress from washday to my stretching experience before relaxer day: This stretch period was a lot easier than other ones I have had, I thing I am getting to know what my hair needs now, the shedding was there but not so alarming like the previous stretches, I didn’t have to deal with split ends this time around too, after the trim I had my last relaxer day in December,

I haven’t had cause to trim till now, then even with the new growth I didn’t have difficulties managing my hair, there were times that I felt like relaxing the hair before I finally did, but once I apply 1 or 2 conditioners the hair looks good and ready to run. Though I didn’t wear my hair in protective style other than my old faithful BUN I still retained some length, but I am not so happy with my edges but I am working on something to make the hair retain length in its own way too.

EMPTIES

I have warned myself that no more buying of new products until I exhaust all or almost all that I have in my current Stash and I have been partially able to do that, Partially because I have bought one or two new products.

Here is a list of some of the products I have exhausted and a little of my perception of the products:

OGX Thick & Full Biotin & Collagen Conditioner: This product has a high performance blend with Vitamin B7 Biotin, infuses nutrients into every strand while Collagen and hydrolyzed wheat protein create the appearance of thicker, fuller, healthier looking hair. This product when used gives my hair extra fullness and the smell is awesome too. I have got another bottle or use, this time not only the conditioner but with the shampoo also.

OGX Nourishing Coconut Milk split end menders:  This product have a combination of some powerful items like coconut milk to nourish the hair, Ultra whipped egg white protein adds strength and elasticity, coconut oil to add hydration and balance. This product helped me minimize my split end and not only do I apply it to my ends only I sometimes apply to the whole length of my hair.

Elasta QP Olive oil and mango butter anti-breakage Leave-in Conditioner: This product helps to add enough shine and moisture to my hair. The smell is a lingering one plus a little scoop is enough to carry your hair through.
·
Cantu Argan Oil and Leave-in Conditioner: I just love Cantu, it brings life to my hair and I use it as an almost day-to-day leave-in conditioner. And also it serves to me as a light protein. Also will be a repeat for me as I have another bottle.
·
Crème of nature Argan Oil perfect edges: I used this product to sleek down my edges whenever I have lots of new growth and I have another new one.

Anyone out there used any of this product, what is your reaction to it, please share.
