Dos & DON’Ts of BUNN-ING

Bunning is a way of protective styling our hair that allows us to hide our ends and retain length if done properly. Here are a few steps to follow to achieve best result with this style.

DON’TS:
Not being consistent with moisturizing and sealing while wearing buns.
Not alternating the direction of the twist.
Sleeping in buns frequently.
Not moving the bun around (wearing the bun in the same place day after day).
Twist/hold the hair too tightly.
Not alternating styles, wearing buns too frequently.
Leave the bun for more than 2 to 3 days.
Being careful on how the ends are tucked in.
Taking down the bun is critical and should be done gently especially if the bun has stayed more than 2 or 3 days.

Dos
Moisturize bun by using a spritz bottle with water & oil in it.
Not holding the whole hair too tight at any point.
Not letting the bun stay more than 2days without bringing it down.
I hope this few tips will help someone, if you have anything outside this please feel free to share.
