OKRA FOR HAIR

Hey beautiful people, I guess people will be awed at the title of this post but it is true, though I have not tried it but will sure try it but as I was searching around I found out that another hair blogger has done similar thing which I mentioned in this post too.

3 ways you can use Okra on your hair
1.     As a rinse: Soak 4-6 okras in two cups of water the night before you wash your hair. Separate the Okras from the water, and use the water to rinse your hair after rinsing your conditioner out. Let your hair air dry, and proceed with your leave-ins.
2.     As a moisturizer: Use any remaining Okra moisturizer you have in your fridge, Apply it to your hair, followed by the oil of your choice, and add a creamy leave-in as needed.
3.     As a gel: Make sure you have the thickest consistency possible by cutting the okras in half and soak them overnight in the fridge. Don't forget to use a strainer to separate the okra/seeds from the gel. Just add the gel to your hair, add a little bit of coconut oil, and twist. You will have the best twist-out possible.  It may not last as long as regular gels, but it will give you at least a day or two.
       Hair Benefits of Okra:
4.      Bouncy hair:
If you are tired of your distressed hair, try using okra to get that bounce back. Boil okra with some water and the transparent mucilage that you get can be used to get your bouncy hair back.
5.      Hair conditioner:
The same mucilage can be used as hair conditioner. Wash your hair and squeeze out excess water. Massage the watery mucilage through your hair and rinse thoroughly with water.
6.      Scalp moisturizer:
Okra is an excellent moisturizer for your dry and itchy scalp. It leaves your hair feeling soft and isn’t harmful like other cosmetics available in the market. It is great for people with unruly, curly and lifeless hair.
7.      Fights dandruff:
Okra improves the overall scalp condition and fights dandruff. It moisturizes your scalp and keeps dandruff away.
8.      Shiny hair:
Okra, when used as a hair rinse, gives great shine to your hair. You can give your regular conditioner a miss once in a while and take care of your hair the natural way.

Not only is okra good for our hair, it’s a healthy vegetable (Soup) for us too, below are a few healthy attributes:
